WoW
Wonders of Worship and "Mega-WoW" replace traditional children's church with a more proactive approach to engaging children in the worship setting. Greeters and storytellers join the children for a multi-sensory learning experience that reaches children on their level. WoW includes children 4 years old to 2nd grade, and Mega-WoW includes children in 3rd - 5th grade. WoW meets every Sunday, MEGA-WoW meets the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month.Sunday School
Students of all ages discover new and meaningful ways to learn about our Creator. Through music, active play and bible story exploration, children gain the necessary knowledge that will be the foundation of their faith for a lifetime.Vacation Bible School
Children gather for a week of exciting games, activities, crafts, music and stories each summer during Vacation Bible School. Usually held in mid-July, VBS brings in children from Pre-K through 5th grade, welcomed by a staff of loving volunteers from within the church family.Pastor's Class
Each Lenten season, the Senior Minister offers a multi-week church membership class for children ages 10-14, or in grades 4-6. This class focuses on the fundamentals of faith in a Disciples of Christ perspective, the meaning of baptism and communion, and the significance of the profession of faith.Summer Camp and Conference
Disciples of Christ summer camps for grades 2-12 are held in June and July at Central Christian Camp and Conference Center. Youth Ministry
Sunday night youth groups meet at 5:30 for fellowship, worship and discipleship. Chi Rho (pronounced Ky-Row) is for 6-8 grade, CYF (Christian Youth Fellowship) is for 9-12 grade.Visit the Youth Ministry website for more information at www.beexcellentyouth.info
Adults
Young Adults: The Breakfast and Bible Study (B&BS) Sunday school class is for 18-25 year olds.The Growing Up With God Sunday School class is for parents of 0-36 month old children and explores the intersection of faith and childhood developmental milestones. Other young adult ministries include volleyball and flag football teams, annual participation in regional ski-trip, summer Water Weekend and winter retreats. Christian Women's Fellowship meets for study, service and fellowship. We offer several groups and meeting times.
Seniors
The "XYZ" (Extra Years of Zest) group for older adults (retired or not-so-retired) offers ministry and outings for Seniors. In addition to the XYZ group, senior ministry includes communion service and pastoral visitation to the homebound.
Grief
Meeting as the need arises, our Grief Share discussion group offers an outlet those struggling to cope with the death of a loved one. For information or questions about Grief Share, please contact the church office.
